HP PalmPad to be announced on February 9?
We told you that HP has scheduled a press event on February 9, 2011 in San Francisco, but back then we weren't certain if more info on tablets will be given there. Now, thanks to HP Personal Systems Group Executive VP Todd Bradley, we are pretty sure that this is going to be the case, which is to say that on the February 9 event we will receive many new details on the upcoming webOS-powered tablet(s).

To cite the above mentioned HP executive's words:

"We're totally focused on the tablet market, totally focused on enabling that with webOS", adding that "you and I will talk about that on the ninth."

Well, the long-rumoured PalmPad seems to be on the way (analysts predict March 2011 release), and come February 9 there is every chance that we will have an announcement. But how do you think an HP tab will fare against all these tabs that are scheduled for release in the coming months?

If you have a product with a candybar style keyboard then you should actually thank Palm because they were the fist company to come up with that. So if you have a Blackberry or the Motorola Droid Pro, I would be taking back what I said.
