Would you like Apple to launch a gold iPhone X?

Earlier this year, before Apple officially announced the iPhone X, various rumors had it that the company would launch a gold version of the new handset. As you likely know, that didn't happen, so the iPhone X currently comes in only two color variants: silver and space gray. Meanwhile, both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (announced at the same time with the iPhone X) have gold versions, in addition to space gray and silver ones.

So why wouldn't the iPhone X come in gold, too? According to a previous report, well-informed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple had encountered unspecified production issues related to the gold iPhone X. But he suggested that the gold model could be released later than the other two color variants.

While we can't possibly tell if a gold iPhone X will ever hit the market, we want to know what you think about this. Would the near-bezel-less handset look better in gold, and, if so, should Apple make efforts to launch this color variant sometime soon? Cast your votes in the poll below, or share your thoughts in the comments section!

P.S.: The video embedded above shows three early iPhone X mockups, including a gold model - though that's a copper gold color, which is darker than the gold seen on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

I don't use iOS, but yes... why not? Many people would surely like one. ;)

I hate gold phones, don't care who makes them they just look garish to me. This is just my personal opinion of course.

Why would someone say No? even if he/she doesn't buy an iphone with that color, having options is good

Agree! Actually the question is dumb! The question should be if you would buy or not if exists.

You're so full of yourself lol. I voted yes for you and your partner...no need to dispense with the tissues... we're all thinking of you during this very difficult time. Did you vote yes for the gold? Maybe you'd prefer the rose gold??

Think about it, you'll understand what I said. There is no use of arguing about such a simple thing.

The votes are practically tied...what was the point you were trying to make again?

That really sounds lile a dumb conclusion. Me personaly am not realy iOS user (i own iPad Pro, but I hate it), but i voted yes for gold. I don't really like gold color, but I know many people like it. I can't say i blame people for not liking Apple, Apple is not really something you use, you use their products. Products deserve spotlight, if they are good, but companies? They only want your money dude. Fanboys are just free ads.

I bet they'd spin off the result as "demand for a gold iPhone X is very high" or something along those lines...

one of the reason for saying no is that they really dont't like the gold color on a phone whether it is iPhone or anything else

My employer was unhappy years ago when Apple added a 3rd color because that meant spending more on inventory to keep more phones in stock.

Not currently using an iPhone but if the gold color was on the front instead of a black or white, cause I throw cases on all my phone's, then sure.

I don't care smartphone`s color. The device must work properly, that's all for me.

Absolutely. I can think of a couple people on here who could use a boost after all the negative news lately. A pretty gold (or perhaps rose gold) might lift their spirits...might even put the tissues away for a day lol.

I don't like gold personally, but I'd like to see everyone get the color they want, so yes.

Personally Apple needed to launch X Plus along with the X. Rose Gold color doesn’t make a difference as most have cases to cover their phones

Every OEM should make polls in different countries and produce more than 5 colors according to the poll result. A green smartphone of 2014 doesn't look pretty, but a green one of 2017 ( glass sandwich like note 8, iPhone x, would look goergous. At least in my opinion. It wouldn't sell well but there are definitely people, who appreciate such color.

I prefer them making the phone more affordable over another color that will be hidden under a case.

Agreed. Apples and a few others are going off the deep end with pricing.

Yeah why not. More colors is always better. I would like to see blue variant or "old grey". More is always better colors variants.

Yes, cause the gold iPhone 8/Plus is gorgeous to me. I’m disappointed they didn’t do one from the jump. I hope the X Plus has gold, I may buy that color. On a side note: I think each and every no vote is from an Android troll.

"On a side note: I think each and every no vote is from an Android troll." So, there can't be genuine iPhone users who dislike the gold color... Right? *sigh *
