Do you want Samsung to launch the Galaxy Note5 in Europe? There's a petition for that
Last week, after announcing the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+, Samsung said that only one of these two new handsets would be released in Europe this year: the S6 edge+. Obviously, this was disappointing news to Galaxy Note fans across the old continent. Despite the fact that the S6 edge+ has the same internals as the Note5 (including an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and 4 GB of RAM), the dual-curve handset is simply not a Note, as it doesn't feature an S Pen stylus.

If you really want Samsung to release the Note5 in Europe, there's a petition that can be signed, and, if plenty of people join, perhaps Samsung will change its mind. Created by British retailer Clove (see the source link below), the petition is hosted on Google Forms, so it should be safe for everyone to sign with full names and email addresses.

While the Note5 is not a huge step forward from last year's Note 4, it brings a new design (inspired by the Galaxy S6), a battery that lasts longer, and enhanced S Pen functionality. You can find out much more about Samsung's newest Note by checking out our Galaxy Note5 review.

I got a feeling that Samsung is waiting for the snapdragon 820 to be ready to launch a European version of the note5

Why would they? They used SD chipsets because they couldn't meet demand and it doesn't seem like they have that problem with the current flagships.

I have a different opinion, hear me out. 1. US is prime territory for Apple and high end handsets. Samsung wants to disrupt that. 2. So now they decide to launch Note5/S6E+ before Apple could start their new bigger iPhones. Last year it was Oct when Note4 started shipping, they did it in Aug this year. 3. They used same internals as S6 and used same design so development time is lesser. 4. They are able to get the product to market 2 months earlier and orders are already shipping. They wanted the first mover advantage. 5. Very few countries getting Notye 5 initially, so logistics is very easy to manage. All this point to one thing; get the large handsets to US as early as possible before Apple could potentially take away those sales. Around year-end, probably they will reduce prices once more. Europe will probably get Note 5 once they ramp up the production in few months.

Interesting theory but I'd like to add some things to that. The US market is not just being threatened by large iPhones. This time around Motorola is launching a 5.7" X at $400 and have a 5.2" X at $300. So Samsung is facing stiffer competition and the double price tag should justify the hardware in the Android space. Furthermore even though the Note is a solid line, Europe will undoubtedly get it somehow even if at a later date, I'm surprised at the lack of enthusiasm the Note5 has compared to all the previous versions. This time around people seem bored. In fact I feel that Samsung will lose market share in the US. Sony lost it because of so much glass-love and tbh curved glass is easier to crack, Samsung has two curved phones at $800.

Oh dear another typical example of american ignorance..blah blah blah. Also do you think no where else is prime for high end handsets - how stupidly narrow minded. Apple make far more profit outside of the US of Arrogance....

Europeans are too smart to want this piece of $hit. Bring on the LG G4 PRO.

Bring on Note 8, we can always talk about vapourware, but that doesn't really help. Unless you have a product than you can order, it's uselsss to talk about it. And if you are thinking about 820, that won't come anytime before 2016 Q1.

They said no to the Note 5 in Europe because people didn't use the S pen at all and that's why we got the S6 edge + instead. That's what a Samsung rep told me.

Nah, screw the note 5. It's almost a downgrade from note 4. Just wait for s7/note6.

What actually happened to the real darkjedi? The old one was a massive apple fan but this new one spelled with a double k and double I loves sammy

Darkjedi was not my account, that was a troll account done by Arte8800, it's now banned. I was never an Apple fanboy, but I was a fan of Apple products. I tell it like it is, and Apple "isn't" at this moment. I've always loved Samsung, but let them start crapping out like Apple. I'll let them have it too.
