Disney Movies Anywhere now available for Android

Disney Movies Anywhere now available for Android
Back in February, we had the pleasure of telling you about Disney Movies Anywhere, which at the time was an iOS app only. The app allows you to purchase a movie to view, by allowing you to choose from a library of Disney films. For $19.99, you can have your selected Disney classic streamed to your phone or slate. You can also keep it on your mobile device to view again later while off-line. Since you're actually purchasing the title, the movie is yours to keep forever.

Now, Disney Movies Anywhere is available for your Android powered device. The library is made up of about 400 Disney, Pixar and Marvel movies. While the iOS version of the app had deep integration with iTunes, the Android version has the same with the Google Play Store. Anyone signing up to Disney Movies Anywhere, will get a free copy of the Disney movie Wreck-it Ralph.

If you've been scouring the Google Play Store for the app, but have come up empty, perhaps now would be a good time to tell you that the switch has yet to be flicked for the Android version of Disney Movies Anywhere. The app should go live on the Google Play Store at any time. In the meantime, to see what the hubbub is all about, click on the video below.

Agreed I'm hoping Movies get added to Steam so we get them for a few dollars each (right now they have a few indie gaming movies) Or maybe if HumbleBundle starts selling movie bundles so we could buy a whole series for just $5 or so

So we can never ever watch them and just stare proudly at our gigantic movie library.

Things with Disney is that they tend to overcharge. I tend to read or take my PS vita with me on a trip and I never have a need to watch a movie in a different situation so this is not for me even though I love Disney animated movies.
