Confused about Samsung's new Gear wearables? This infographic should help
Samsung announced three new wearables back in February (Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit), and started selling them last month - at the same time with the company’s Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone. Worried that some customers may not know which of the three wearables to choose, Samsung made an infographic presenting their strengths and capabilities.

The infographic tells us that the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo are made for those who “love to use all the smart features”, while the Gear Fit should attract users who “prefer a lighter band-type device.” The Gear Fit is significantly lighter than the other two devices (weighing only 27 grams), and fits better on your wrist, thanks to its 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display.

While all three wearables are dust- and water-resistant, only the Gear 2 has a built-in camera and a “premium metallic body” - that’s why it’s more expensive. The new Samsung wearables are currently widely available around the world. The Gear 2 costs $299, while the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit are offered for $199.

Still think the fit is sexy. Waiting for the Moto 360 first, I'd like to see both in person before making the final call.

The best part is, if you don't like these, wait a couple of months and Samsung will release some more. Nothing like the shotgun strategy of product releases, eh?

This was a helpful chart. I didn't know Samsung made the Neo out of plastic as well as removing the camera. Yuck. If Samsung wants to seize market share, they should drop the camera from the Gear 2, get rid of the Neo, and price these two remaining models at $99 each.

Because the last thing Samsung want to do is please their number 1 hater on this website. Did you bother ask yourself if they were "Yuck", then why those 3 models were sold out in every store for the 1st 5 weeks? (At least here in Dallas) And about your "smart" suggestion about pricing it at $99, might as well give it as donations and for free how about that? You might have missed it when phonearena mentioned that Samsung sold more than 500000 smartwatches in ths 1st quarter, thats the same number of HTC m8 units sold (not hating on the m8 btw, just showing how good the YUCKY Gears are selling)

They "sold" that many because they were discounted to around $100 every time you looked. As for the Dallas area, I was in the Dallas area when they launched, and there were plenty available. Stop shopping for your electronics in Harry Hines.

I didn't know that McArthur Blvd was also named Harry Hines. And how do you know about it's availability when it doesn't even interest you? It seems that Samsung' s success is giving you hemorrhoids

I rather wear my luxury watch and use my smartphone. This watch is trying to do too much. It doesnt have enough functions like a real phone and doesn't look as good or professional than a real watch.

Soon their tablet lineup would be half numbered of their smartphone lineup already.

Just traded the Neo for the Fit, and I love it. The Neo was kinda irritating for me while I was playing basketball and I needed something lighter, and the Fit did the job for me, it's like I'm wearing nothing on my wrist.

I hope you don't strap your phone on your wrist.
