BlackBerry to offer three protective cases for the BlackBerry KEYone
If you are counting the days until BlackBerry starts shipping the unlocked BlackBerry KEYone to U.S. and Canadian buyers, you might want to start looking at some accessories for the device. BlackBerry has announced three different cases that are made and sold by BlackBerry itself. For those seeking protection from drops and falls, the BlackBerry KEYone Dual Layer Shell has a soft layer that wraps around the phone, while a harder shell adds more protection. That second shell is wrapped around the first one. Yes, the KEYone is built like a tank. But with the double protection of this case, you should be able to breathe a easier when you're out with your phone.

The BlackBerry KEYone Pocket is a leather case (NSFV; Not Safe for Vegetarians) that should help protect your KEYone. An opening on the case in the form of a cutout window allows you to read your notifications, even with the phone tucked away safely inside it. With a hard shell back case and a leather flip cover, the BlackBerry KEYone Flip Case offers some protection for the handset while allowing the design of the phone to come through when the flip is open. A cutout window allows notifications to be read, even with the case closed.

The Flip and Dual Layer Shell both give users instant access to the physical QWERTY keyboard, while the Pocket forces you to slide the phone out of the case in order to type on it. Pricing of each of the accessories has yet to be unveiled, although we should see some announcement revealing this information very soon. After all, the KEYone will launch officially in the U.S. and Canada on May 31st. Hopefully, BlackBerry will start selling these protective cases early enough so that buyers of the phone will be able to protect their newly purchased handset as soon as it arrives.
