BlackBerry Z30 for Verizon appears at the FCC
The BlackBerry Z30 smartphone has already been released in the UK, and North America could be the next stop on its world tour. Over the weekend, a Verizon-friendly model of the handset has received the FCC's thumbs-up, with support for the carrier's frequencies and all. This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, actually. Verizon itself tweeted several days ago that the BlackBerry Z30 will soon be available on its network.

For those who need a refresher, the BlackBerry Z30 is the company's new top model, sporting a 5-inch, 720p screen, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus SoC, and an 8MP camera. Yeah, we know that's last year's hardware, but that shouldn't be a problem as long as the software running on the smartphone has been optimized for it. Speaking of which, the BlackBerry Z30 runs on the BlackBerry 10.2 operating system.

The Verizon BlackBerry Z30 release date is still anyone's guess, but since the phone is available in some parts of the globe already, we could see it debut Stateside pretty soon.
