It's just a matter of days until BlackBerry's DTEK60 is made available for purchase, and one thing that fans will should be happy about is the fact that the smartphone will be available worldwide.

Major retailers in Canada and the United States briefly enabled placeholders of the DTEK60, but since the smartphone is not official they can't accept pre-orders yet. But that could change as early as next week when the smartphone is expected to make its debut in Europe.

The biggest retailer in Germany, MediaMarkt has been confirmed to offer the BlackBerry DTEK60 beginning October 25. However, the handset won't come cheap, as the German retailer is likely to price it at €600 ($660).

In the United States, the DTEK60 was recently spotted with a much lower price tag attached to it, which is why we believe the European version is a bit overprice. B&H listed the BlackBerry DTEK60 at $500, but it's unclear whether or not this is the final retail price of the smartphone.

One other aspect that remains to be clarified in the coming days is if the DTEK60 will be available for purchase on October 25 or customers will only be able to pre-order the smartphone, which will arrive at a later date.

The DTEK60 might be the last BlackBerry-branded smartphone fans will be able to purchase this year, but more are expected to be released next year. Rumors about another handset codenamed Mercury have already made headlines, so we're convinced that more BlackBerry phones will be launched on the market in the coming months.
