Billboard outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center shows the Huawei Ascend D2
Last month, we told you to expect Huawei to send at least three models to CES. The list includes the Windows Phone 8 powered
Huawei Acend W1, and two Android models including the massive
6.1 inch Huawei Ascend Mate and the
Huawei Ascend D2. Not that we think that Huawei is trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes and won't show any of these devices in Las Vegas, but it is nice to have a confirmation anyway as it lessens the chances of a surprise.
And confirmation that the Huawei Ascend D2 will be at CES 2013 has been found in a billboard located near the line up of taxi cabs right outside the Las Vegas Convention Center. While the specs have yet to be revealed, it would appear that the phone will have the current high-end Android trifecta of a quad-core processor, 5 inch display and 1080p resolution. Other possible specs include a
13MP camera on back and a 3000mAh battery.
The billboard looks to be in a great location as thousands of attendees will get to view it as they walk into and out of the venue. Huawei is really counting on the three handsets to take them to the next level of smartphone manufacturers.
