Banners go up at Apple's campus in advance of tomorrow's Apple iPhone unveiling
Just hours away from Apple's big unveiling of the next iteration of its full-priced smartphone, and the introduction of its colorful, plastic encased budget model, banners are being put up at Apple's campus in Cupertino. The event will take place at 1pm EDT at Apple’s Town Hall auditorium, which is already being dressed up with banners showing the same colorful background that Apple used for the invitation to the event.

The colors on the banners probably match up to the colors that the Apple iPhone 5C will be available in. With a plastic shell and candy-coated look, this will be the budget model meant to take market share in emerging markets. The Apple iPhone 5S, like all of the "S" named iPhone models, will offer a minimal change in appearance necessary for the dual-flash and for the fingerprint scanner on the home button. Other changes, such as the faster, more powerful A7 processor, and the improved 8MP camera, are changes that the naked eye cannot see.

While the Apple iPhone 5C gets all those Skittle-ish shades, we also expect to see two new colors for the iPhone 5S with gold and graphite joining the traditional black and white.

Well at least Apple now knows iOS isn't "The world's most advanced mobile OS." http://r.phonedog.com/shared/images/2012/6/172884-iOS-6-worlds-most-advanced-moble-OS.jpg

In terms of software engineering it still is. I mean even the best flagships stutter a little when they are being used. Infact my galaxy s3 lags like a piece of crap on official Samsung unrooted 4.1.2 but my iPad 3 and iPhone 5 are running flawlessly regardless of their age. Even on ios 7 beta 6 (there are some tiny bugs in this build). And By the way, ipad 3 is powered by an A5X processor and according to benchmarks the processor (not GPU) in my ipad is even slower than the processor in tegra 2. In terms of features however android has the edge but is still more vulnerable to malware than iOS. You have

Actually that's not true, iOS is more vulnerable, but android is more often attackedhttp://www.phonearena.com/news/iOS-is-more-vulnerable-than-Android-but-hackers-try-attacking-Googles-platform-more_id41955

Alright I'll give you that. But just days later there was an article about how it's difficult to make malware for ios and that most malware attacks android. That article by phonearena also mentioned that android is practically more vulnerable than iOS. Just three days there was another article on PA saying that android malware rose by 74% in 2012 (something like that). If you want another example of apples software engineering than take a good look at ios 7. It's got paralax effect + dynamic wallapers + heavy animatio

+ heavy animations and yet it's so fluid and so fast. Bottom line- apple gives quality, google gives quantity.

Lag or lack of doesn\'t make it the most advanced operating system. And if you do a search, even iOS has lag.

I use two ios devices which have a5 and a6 processors. iOS does not have lag

big woof. Nothing will be revolutionary during the press event about the 5S or 5C. Only more colors that will hurt your eyes and small useless features that Apple think is good at inventing the wheel which they aren't. They are just to dumb to realize that. A big yawn. I honestly don't know why people get excited about a company who can't keep up with the current trend year after year after year. Both in terms of hardware and mostly software. IOS 7 is a joke.

Cue the tech illustrate mainstream media to broadcast and hype this thing up. Casual buyers who know no better will flock like rats from a natural disaster to it, while Apple makes billions of dollars off of the most incremental update to the hardware since ever.

As someone on Twitter put it (sorry I forget who) : IOS7 brings nothing new except the "My Little Pony" theme.

those grey rings give away the sensor on the home button for the finger print scanner imo
