Apple releases watchOS 4 beta 5 for Apple Watch


Apple has just released watchOS 4 beta 5 for developers and the beta is available for testing on all Apple Watch models.

The major new features of watchOS 4 include:

  • Cool new watch faces: one with personalized Siri information and others with animated Toy Story characters

  • Support for Apple News via a complication
  • Support for GymKit
  • Person-to-person payments

To install watch OS 4 beta 5 on your Apple Watch, you need to be registered as a developer with Apple, and then you can go into the Apple Watch app on your phone, tap on Settings > Software update to get it rolling. Other pre-requisited to update to this latest beta is to have your Watch charged to at least 50% and to have it placed on a charger, and within range with a paired iPhone. Your phone must be running iOS 11 beta 5 to download watchOS 4 beta 5.
