Getting ready for the March 7th event
With a colorful (and large) version of the Apple logo starting to be put up in the front of San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center, we are reminded that next Wednesday Apple is
expected to introduce the Apple iPad 3. With the invitation for the event showing someone touching the calendar application on an iPad screen, it certainly seems as though the latest iteration of Apple's tablet will feature a Retina display. The date on the calendar app is March 7th which not so coincidentally is the date of the event.
The splashy colors are reminiscent of the display Apple used in 2010 when it
announced its first tablet, the original Apple iPad. That model and it successor were both announced at an event at the Yerba Buena center. The display last year showed a black Apple logo on a white background surrounded with colorful dots.
Besides the anticipated
new 2,048 x 1,536 resolution on the tablet's screen, the Apple iPad 3 is expected to be equipped with a new, more advanced camera and a faster processor. We also might see the
first Apple device to bring 4G LTE connectivity to the table.
