Apple getting ready for Apple iPad 3 event
With a colorful (and large) version of the Apple logo starting to be put up in the front of San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center, we are reminded that next Wednesday Apple is expected to introduce the Apple iPad 3. With the invitation for the event showing someone touching the calendar application on an iPad screen, it certainly seems as though the latest iteration of Apple's tablet will feature a Retina display. The date on the calendar app is March 7th which not so coincidentally is the date of the event.

The splashy colors are reminiscent of the display Apple used in 2010 when it announced its first tablet, the original Apple iPad. That model and it successor were both announced at an event at the Yerba Buena center. The display last year showed a black Apple logo on a white background surrounded with colorful dots.

Besides the anticipated new 2,048 x 1,536 resolution on the tablet's screen, the Apple iPad 3 is expected to be equipped with a new, more advanced camera and a faster processor. We also might see the first Apple device to bring 4G LTE connectivity to the table.

We all know that you follow Android handsets manufacturers very closely but just don't take your case for a generality.

they dont really have too… maybe android needs quad to optomize experience.. and possibly windows 8 (i am not sure how closely it resembles wp7 in power needs)… but ios really doesnt need very much.. i could easily see apple produce an A5x

Meh, there are more people out there who care about brand more than how it works...They could re-release the iPad 2 in a new box and people still wouldn't complain...

Apple need to prepare iPad 3 with more than retina display and quad core to compete with the Microsoft's windows 8 tablet and Google's (Nexus tablet). After few months market will be flooded with windows 8 tablets with more powerful processors and better usability than iPad.
