Rumor: The Apple AirPower could "charge" store shelves mid-March

Rumor: The Apple AirPower could
The Apple AirPower – the wireless charging mat, which Apple announced last September, alongside the iPhone X and the iPhone 8 / 8 Plus, may hit store shelves in March, according to sources. Keep in mind this is only a rumor, and we are yet to hear an official announcement from Apple.

The AirPower wireless charger was showcased as being capable of charging your AirPods, iPhone, and Apple Watch at the same time. When it announced the AirPower back in September, 2017, Apple said the charger will be released sometime in 2018, but did not mention any exact date.

Not much else is known about the AirPower. We don't know if it will support Android devices or what's the price tag going to be.

Apple is pretty new to the wireless charging game. The current generation of iPhones, the Apple Watch, and the AirPods are the first Apple products to support the Qi technology for wireless charging, which has made its debut on Android devices way back in 2012.

In case you can't wait for the release of the AirPower, there are other already available options from companies, such as Aukey, Anker and Belkin.

Gonna be a sweet product, but it costs too much. It'll still sell well though.

"We don't know if it will support Android devices or what's the price tag going to be" Nope, Apple has implemented something in the charging pad so that it charges multiple devices at the same time, while AirPower will ‘communicate’ between each device and intelligently decide on how much power each device requires. This prevents other QI devices from being detected and they won't charge.

Samsung Qi charger charges my wife's iPhone x. I'll be passing up on this. Seems like a useful pad.

Nobody is going nuts, except your hate and envy for Apple. And even if it's late, it will surely work better than Samsung's.

Define "work better" first, or else the "hate & envy" could be applicable to your own self:) Judging on the wattage, by design and the law of Physics, charging time of iPhone8/X by AirPower will be slower than the charging time of Samsung smartphone of similar battery capacity by Samsung's wireless charger. Of course, Apple will take whatever means legally to be charged slower by the Samsung Qi Charger. Anyone believe that Apple always put the needs of its customers on top priority should probably re-take their primary and junior-high education.

I won't define "work better", cause everything apple just does, everytime. But i can define you - stupid and ignorant.

Yes, I admit that I am always stupid and ignorant especially in front of the wise women/men. I always told myself to get rid of the stupid me of the past, then I have the chance to be not as stupid and ignorant. Please educate me if the "antenna gate" of the past is an example of your assertion "everything apple just does, everytime", or not. Thank you for the teaching.

it will cost nothing less than 150$ at that price I would buy 3 Samsung fast wireless chargers and put them around the house instead of one and they will work with any device unlike apple one

I'm more worried as to why your Android phone's battery life is so bad you need multiple charging points to make it through a day.

Because I go to bed with it at 70 percent by having a charging pad in the office in the car and by the bed.
