Angry Birds strikes a partnership with the Eagles
We’ve seen the Angry Birds franchise branch out into some interesting endeavors, such as theme parks and jewelry lines. Now the wildly popular game has signed its first NFL deal.

The franchise is partnering with the Philadelphia Eagles. According to the Wall Street Journal, the mashup will create an Eagles-themed version of the game, social media tie-ins, and Angry Birds themed Jumbotron replays. Considering Philadelphia sports fans have the reputation of being some of the angriest birds in all of sports, we’ve guessing the theme will fit right in.

“We’ve got to think about the generation that’s coming into the prime years for loyalty — who are they going to choose and what are they going to choose more importantly?” said Ari Roitman, the Eagles’ senior vice president of business. “Is it going to be football or another form of entertainment. This is very much a play for that younger generation.”
