AnTuTu champ Vivo Xshot to be unveiled on May 7th

The high-end Vivo Xshot, the first handset to surpass 40,000 on the AnTuTu benchmark site, is going to be unveiled on May 7th. What is interesting is that this is the same date when the Huawei Ascend P7 is expected to be unveiled in Paris. Either Vivo is looking to steal some of the thunder from Huawei, or somehow hitch itself to the Ascend P7's unwrapping.

The Vivo Xshot is unquestionably a power user's dream, but it also has a lot to offer for those focused on photography. There is a 24MP rear-facing camera and a 7.68MP front-facing one as well. The camera on back features an aperture of f/1.8, allowing the camera to take great photos under low-light conditions. It will have either a Xenon flash or a dual LED flash depending on who you're talking to.

The Vivo Xshot is equipped with a screen offering resolution of 1080 x 1920, and is powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC CPU with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. Android 4.3 is currently running the phone, which might be updated to KitKat by the time the phone is launched.

There is no word on pricing or availability, although we assume that this information will be released on May 7th.
