Alleged dual SIM Nokia Lumia 530 revealed by Vietnamese retailer

A Vietnamese retailer is now listing the unannounced Microsoft / Nokia Lumia 530, suggesting that the handset will be available in several color versions, including green, orange, white, grey and blue.

As we previously told you, the Lumia 530 should be introduced as a Windows Phone 8.1 successor to the Lumia 525 and Lumia 520 models. Naturally, this makes it a low-end smartphone. The Vietnamese retailer seems to confirm some of the rumored features of the Lumia 530, including: dual SIM capabilities, a quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 5MP fixed focus rear camera, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of expandable internal memory.

It looks like the 530 sports a 4-inch ClearBlack display with 480 x 854 pixels, while its battery is a 1,430 mAh one. Apparently, the new handset measures 119.7 x 62.3 x 11.7 mm, thus being a bit thicker than the Lumia 525 and Lumia 520 (both of which are 9.9 mm thin).

It’s still not clear when the Lumia 530 will be available, and neither for what price (though this will certainly be a low one). Anyhow, Microsoft will likely release the handset in lots of markets around the world, including in the US - where T-Mobile and MetroPCS are expected to sell it.

what a crappy downgrade .. this phone is destined to doom from the beginning Ram downgraded from 1gb (525 )to 512 mb .. ( don't tell me wp don't need 1gb ram.. WP can't even run Subway surfers without 1 gb of ram without hacks etc) Camera Downgraded from autofocus to Fixed focus Processor downgraded from Dual core Krait to weak quad core Cortex A7 Internal memory downgraded from 8gb to 4gb thickness ,and looks downgraded as well.. and they'll sell this for at least 100 $ ..and wonder why nobody is buying it.. when lumia 520 is already awesome for much less price ..

Don't forget the new WP8.1 lockscreen needs 1gb of ram, as well as Nokia refocus, and many others. Some apps just need more ram to function better.

Wrong, the BETA version only runs on 1GB so far ; the final release is suposed to work on 512MB (or upgrade for in soon after release)

"Processor downgraded from Dual core Krait to weak quad core Cortex A7 " wrong, a quadcore A7 is more powerfull than the Dual core Krait inside the 525 "and they'll sell this for at least 100 $ .." how much was the 520 when it was released ? a lot more than 100$ .(even today the 520 is only at 100€ on my country) Also ; care to find me a Samsung , or LG, or Sony for 100$ with 1GB RAM ?

you need to do more research before talking about processors.. More cores does not mean better performance,,, The single thread IPC performance of Krait core far exceeds Cortex A7 and is evident in the benchmarks as well Linpack single thread Moto G - 82 Mflops Xperia L ( same as 525 ) - 130 Mflops even in multithread Moto G - 206 Mflops Xperia L - 216 Mflops you can say they are almost equal in multi threading but the fact is most of the apps are not even optimized for dual cores rather than optimized for quad cores .. so in real world a faster dual core is way more powerful than slower Quad.. plus the heat generation will throttel down the 4 cores more than the dual core set up.. this is qualcomm way of milking money as Dual core krait set up is expensive than making quad A7 .. and general advertisement fool people by advertising more cores is better the Gpu is Exactly same so no comparison there.. i was comparing USA prices in my country Lumia 525 never even reached 120$ while it was sold at 50 $ in USA .. this was done to gain market share for windows phone as it was failing very badly regarding alternatives you can buy Moto E that has 1 gb ram and costs about 115$ , for 100 $ you have Asus Zenfone 4 with 1gb ram and a super fast intel processor , both of the brands are tier 1 global brands .. not including xiaomi, lenovo etc here anyways the point i was making was that even if you leave out the competition .from android . lumia 530 is stuck as Lumia 520 is much better than 530 and is available for a cheaper price.. lumia 520 and 525 are the biggest Competition itself for Lumia 530 ..

ohh lol i forgot Lumia 530 is having snapdragon 200 , while i compared it with snapdragon 400 present in Moto G i should also add this then "GPU downgraded from Adreno 305 to Adreno 302" P.s - Adreno 302 is same as adreno 305 but clocked 50 mhz lower also i meant lumia 520 never reached less than 120$ .. its 120 $ now

1st- i have done enough research.. 2nd- MFlops doesn't equal performance Geekbench Experia L - 380 _ 700 Moto G - 340 _ 1200 only slithly less on singlethread and way higher on multithread The loss is only on the GPU, and is small... The moto E has a dualcore A7 S200

What the hell are you rambling about. The 525 and 520 use the same Snapdragon S4 plus CPUs MSM8227 clocked at 1ghz, which happens to be a cortex-A7 CPU. The Snapdragon S4 pros series is Cortex-A9. And the S4 play is a cortex-A5. The 530 is using a Snapdragon 200 CPU which is a cortex-A7 CPU running at 1.2ghz with a faster bus speed. So the Snapdragon 200 is faster then the older S4 plus.
