AT&T to sell Nokia Lumia 520 for $49.99 off contract

AT&T will be offering the Nokia Lumia 520 for the doorbuster price of just $50 off contract from November 28th to December 2nd. That is the absolute lowest price we’ve seen for the Lumia 520, usually sold for $99.99 with AT&T’s pre-paid GoPhone. The Lumia 520 is a 4-inch smartphone running on the latest Windows Phone 8 platform and featuring a dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip.

The deal has not yet started, but we expect this to happen in the next few hours and it's clearly an offer that will not last. The $50 Lumia 520 will be available on AT&T’s website and in select brick and mortar stores. The Microsoft store matches AT&T's price and is also selling the Lumia 520 for $50 for a limited time.

Moreover, the Lumia 520 goes for a 4G phone by AT&T’s standards as it supports downlink speeds of up to 21.1Mbps (this is not a 4G LTE device, though). The Lumia 520 also has a very decent 5-megapixel camera and sports a 1430mAh battery.

The U.S. price of the Lumia 520 is shockingly low considering that in other parts of the world you have to pay around $180, nearly double the price.

Do you feel that you have an inner need to write that comment? It appears that you did that without thinking. Just to have something to complain about "no that product is not good, but this one right here is much better." Wouldn't you pay 15 USD extra to get? - A faster phone - A better looking phone - More durable phone - Free offline navigation worldwide - Better modified OS for slower processors - Great Nokia apps Or just because it's a Samsung, it is automatically a better phone for you?

Offer that price in India and you'll see a miracle! Why only US people deserve to be spoiled?

I have a feeling that within a month or the beginning of January, they will either drop to $50 for good, or the 525 will be out by christmas.

525 is not really for USA. They are launching it for Asia, South America, etc.

I was excited to take advantage of this offer just to try WP, but I checked online and in stores for AT&T and try didn't show the $50 price tag all weekend. Was that just me?
