Samsung starts promoting BBM in Africa
Samsung has already confirmed that BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) will be available through its Samsung Apps Store in South Africa to its line of Android powered Galaxy smartphones. The service will allow users to take part in chats and be included in groups of as many as 30 people. It also opens the door to BlackBerry's social networking features. Pictures and voice messages can be exchanged in addition to written messages.

Samsung has already started advertising and Samsung Ghana published one such ad on YouTube. But while we were in the process of writing this article, the video was pulled from YouTube! We can still show you the promotional material that was put up on Samsung Ghana's Facebook page.

According to some posters in the Crackberry forum, Samsung has started advertising during South African soccer matches with ads like the one that we were going to show you before it was abruptly pulled. The good news is that you should expect to see similar ads globally as BBM is expected to become available for both the iOS and Android platform by the end of the summer.
