Compact LG Optimus G2 to come with 5.2" FHD screen, OIS camera, all keys on the back

Rumors about the upcoming LG Optimus G2 keep trickling down the pipe, hinting at an imminent announcement, and this latest one adds kerosene fuel to the proverbial fire.

The Optimus G2 is allegedly going to come with a 5.2" Full HD 1080p display, and its camera will sport the modern optical image stabilization technology that Nokia introduced with the Lumia 920, then the HTC One picked, and of course the Galaxy S4 Zoom ended up with. The processor is confirmed to be a scorching Snapdragon 800, and the amount of RAM is tipped to be 2 GB, though we heard earlier 3 GB rumored for the phone, but that was for the LTE-A version on SK Telecom.

So far so good, but the source also confirms that there will be no side keys, and the Android navigational buttons will be placed on the back, at the "movable bottom of the camera," whatever that means.

Those plus and minus signs around the camera we saw in the leaked photo before are said to serve as volume keys indeed, but also zoom buttons when needed, and the power key is apparently located between them, if we trust Google's translation.

All in all, pretty bold moves to pull off by LG, if true, but someone had to gather the courage finally, and ditch the keys from the front of big-screen phones, shrinking the bezel and saving us the tendinitis from stretching our thumb all the way down. We'll believe it when we see it, though.
