New iPad ads highlight Apple Pencil features

Apple's focused efforts on promoting the new iPad 9.7 + Apple Pencil combo continue in a series of new ads highlighting what the two can do together.

Three new ads have popped up on Apple's UK YouTube channel, as spotted by 9to5Mac, each of which is focused on what the first non-Pro iPad can do with the Apple Pencil.

The first one showcases how the Files browser can be used to add images to a Keynote presentation, with additional markup reserved for the Apple Pencil. The second ad focuses on note-taking app Notability, showing how the stylus can be used for quickly putting down notes. The third one touts the possible artistic uses of the combo with a demo of the Tayasui Sketches Pro app, which is used to draw a beautiful portrait.

The 6th gen 9.7-inch iPad offers great value for money, starting at $329 and being the first non-Pro model iPad with Apple Pencil support. Said it before and I'll say it again. The iPad Pro is the best iOS device to me. I've had my 12.9 since 12-12-16, and wouldn't part ways with it as long as it works. Great device, Pencil support, and great multitasking all there. It's not perfect, and has its frustrating moments, like my Note and any other device, but it's an excellent device.

I said it before and I'll proudly say it again. The iPad Pro is the most buggiest, half assed, stupidly designed stylus tablet I have ever owned. iPad Pro 12.9 is nothing but a big disappointment. I really hope Samsung Tab S4 comes soon and it hopefully will be a decent device with an amazing Wacom.

Kind of funny they now focus on features they once claimed no one wanted. Can thank innovative devices like the Samsung Note and Microsoft Surface to push Apple to make the iPad something more than an oversized iPod.

The iPad 2018 is much better than unreliable surface and much cheaper.

And also much more limited in capabilities. iOS on iPad still sucks ass. Granted Microsoft could improve the reliability a bit of Surface tablets and make 'em a bit cheaper, but other OEMs also make Surface like devices that thankfully are both.
