isn’t incredibly popular in Japan, in contrast to the U.S. and Europe. This, however, may soon change thanks to some of the latest offers from the carrier SoftBank. It begins a discount campaign for Apple’s phones, which will continue until the end of May. Every new customer to sign a two-year contract will be able to get the 8GB version of the iPhone for free. The 16GB variant, on the other hand, will cost about $118, instead of $350. The offer sounds event better, having in mind that SoftBank’s data plan is now dropped from $69 to $45.60. We are wondering when AT&T will come up with such an alluring offer.
