The 6.5-inch 2018 iPhone X Plus will match the iPhone 8 Plus in size

The 6.5-inch 2018 iPhone X Plus will match the iPhone 8 Plus in size
The 2018 iPhone X Plus will reportedly match the dimensions of the iPhone 8 Plus. It’s been rumored for some time now that Apple will be introducing three new iPhone models in September, among which will be a plus-sized iPhone X. Now, according to a new report, it seems the new smartphone will be largely similar in size to last year’s iPhone 8 Plus.

Despite the iPhone X Plus being rumored to stretch its display to 6.5-inches – the iPhone 8 Plus boasts a much smaller 5.5-inch panel – the new smartphone will reportedly do so without drastically increasing in size. This will be achieved by adopting the bezel-less nature of the iPhone X, although the controversial display notch is expected to make a return. As an added extra for consumers, the new device will reportedly boast a 3,300mAh battery pack, which would be the largest in an iPhone to date. Also, an upgraded main camera on the rear capable of capturing improved low-light images is set to be present. Unfortunately, the larger battery and the improved camera are set to make the device 0.2mm thicker.

In regards to the other 2018 iPhone models, the report claims that second-generation iPhone X will sport an identical design to last year’s model, albeit with a few hardware and software enhancements, while the budget LCD iPhone will reportedly include a 6-inch display, instead of the rumored 6.1-inch panel.

As expected, the new information confirms that all devices will ship with iOS 12 straight out of the box. This is said to bring significant improvements to Face ID, more specifically the fact that it will now work in landscape mode, possibly preparing it for a future iPad release.

I don't think that the notch will be that big on the Plus version.

Probably it need to be that big to keep the same notch-to-screen ratio with iPhoneX. They need it for consistency on iOS UI display, and for apps that optimized for iPhoneX's notch (and probably they'll use bigger earpiece speaker to fill that extra space)

Meh, only the 2019 iphone will matter tbh otherwise any other thing apple puts up before now will be half arsed imo.. btw, if you're not the Huawei p20 pro, or the google pixel you can as well forget about it. Those are the only meaningful phone with any sort of effort or innovation right now, from their cameras to their batteries.. screens have plateaued, speed has peaked, daylight camera has gone stale also. The iphone, galaxy, oneplus, htc, LG, sony have all become tired, uninteresting, stale and complacent tbh..

Put me down for the space gray 512gb model, or gold like the iPhone 8. 6.5 inches is gonna be too much real estate to pass up. Gotta have one.

Or like upcoming HTC flagship U12 6.0 screen inch phone or like black colour on iphone 5 or like jet black on iphone 7 series models.

Rumor has it that by 2019 Apple probably remove the notch while this year Apple might decide to reduce the notch.

Looks like 3 years on the 6s plus will end come this Sept. Glad my rental home is ready for lease. Now I have some extra cash for a new gadget.
