The 6.5-inch 2018 iPhone X Plus will match the iPhone 8 Plus in size
The 2018 iPhone X Plus will reportedly match the dimensions of the iPhone 8 Plus. It’s been rumored for some time now that Apple will be introducing three new iPhone models in September, among which will be a plus-sized iPhone X. Now, according to a new report, it seems the new smartphone will be largely similar in size to last year’s iPhone 8 Plus.

Despite the iPhone X Plus being rumored to stretch its display to 6.5-inches – the iPhone 8 Plus boasts a much smaller 5.5-inch panel – the new smartphone will reportedly do so without drastically increasing in size. This will be achieved by adopting the bezel-less nature of the iPhone X, although the controversial display notch is expected to make a return. As an added extra for consumers, the new device will reportedly boast a 3,300mAh battery pack, which would be the largest in an iPhone to date. Also, an upgraded main camera on the rear capable of capturing improved low-light images is set to be present. Unfortunately, the larger battery and the improved camera are set to make the device 0.2mm thicker.

In regards to the other 2018 iPhone models, the report claims that second-generation iPhone X will sport an identical design to last year’s model, albeit with a few hardware and software enhancements, while the budget LCD iPhone will reportedly include a 6-inch display, instead of the rumored 6.1-inch panel.

As expected, the new information confirms that all devices will ship with iOS 12 straight out of the box. This is said to bring significant improvements to Face ID, more specifically the fact that it will now work in landscape mode, possibly preparing it for a future iPad release.
