iPhone 6s mobile data not working: here's how to enable it in settings
Having access to the Internet on a smartphone is one of the greatest conveniences of our time, empowering us with information in even the most resolute places on Earth, but having mobile data on can also be a curse for your pocket. If your carrier enforces overage fees, you could end up paying tens and even hundreds of dollars if you don't keep tabs on your mobile data usage.

Sometimes, the easiest thing to do is to just turn off mobile data completely to avoid the risk of a background update or something else gobbling up your monthly allowance. Luckily, this is a task that's extremely easy to achieve on iOS, and only takes a couple of taps - you just have to know where it is.

We walk you through the few simple steps in this iOS 8 tutorial that would work on both the iPhone and iPad models with cellular data enabled. Take a look below.

they should've just included mobile data as a toggle in that control center thingy, but no, that would've made too much sense.

No, I think this perfectly and accurately reflects the mentality, knowledge, and understanding of a typical apple user.

well, this post explains the previous post about an stastistics that iPhone/iPad users browse the internet more than android user.. why? they are using data without them knowing, LOL! i'm surprised about this tutorial. But it has to be an obligation of every ISPs to give this kind of info to their consumers. Coz the truth is, not everyone understands the background data connections or no one cares about it as long they can pay the bills.

Simple reason for an article like this. Someone googles how turn off mobile data on an iphone. This article comes up and phonearena gets more traffic and possibly more users checking on a regular basis. Plus articles like this keep my friends from annoying me with how to questions so keep it up phonearena.

1. "Google just released its new stock launcher in the Play Store, but it appears for download only on Nexus devices" Which means that article was a work around....because the launcher wasnt for all phones. And that the apk was at a site for side loading. 2. iPhone doesnt have launchers...and a few explained how it usually doesnt take that many steps. Its usually after first install and trying to go back to the home screen it prompts you for which launcher to use as default. That article is usually for having more than 2 and if you download and dont install. I'll say split on that one. 3. That only had 5 posts...and its all 3rd party stuff. 4. I'll give you 4....lol. Someone actually said thanks for the article because they needed help. 5. There is more than 1 way on Android. Stock vs OEMs. I get what you are saying....sometimes its best to just not respond to trollish posts.

If it so easy as you say then why PhoneArena. com still thinks that iOS users need such tutorials?

because, many android device, now had a widget to turn data on/off or even a toggle switch. for device that didn't provide any of those option, we should go all the way traditionally to switch data on/off via menu-setting... But, thats should be described on manual book included... Geezz us...

For iUsers yes, but there is something that called widget in Android and no need for go though that u called cluttered mess of menus that iOS have. Hmm...didnt Apple introduced same useless drop down toggles in iOS7? -.-

This is the 8th generation of iPhone, it has been ~8 years. I do like post like this if this post is about how to turn off specific app for the cellular data access instead of just the main switch of the cellular data...

Nice to see Apple finally stopped having some network things separated. Some used to be in General. They are getting better. Cellular and Bluetooth used to be in general. Which made absolutely no sense.

Yes. And I wouldnt just say iOS folks. Lots of ppl just pick up a phone n go. Android, WP, iPhone, etc. Had to show my kids mother ways to see if something is eating battery life on her Android phone with the task button.

The only problem with turning data off on an iphone is it makes the iphone almost useless. If you turn off the data make sure you turn off imessager. And turning off imessager doesnt garuntee that imessager is off so if your data is off you might not get most of your texts. I messager is a data hog. My sister broke her phone so had to switch to an old iphone and her data doubled because of imessager. A lot of other things that shouldnt need data need data for iphones so beware
