Windows Phone app myTube to receive update

Windows Phone app myTube to receive update
Windows Phone app myTube is a third party substitute for YouTube. With Microsoft and Google unable to reach an agreement over a native YouTube app for the platform, a number of replacements dot the Windows Phone Store landscape. For 99 cents, you can install the app on your Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 powered phone.

Anything you can do in the app, such as read comments, change channels or browse videos, can be done with the video you are watching faded into the background. You can pin channels' uploads, favorites and playlists to your start screen. You can even have a double wide tile. And with myTube, if you have a poor connection, or want to wait for a Wi-Fi hook up, you can save videos for later viewing.

Some new features are coming to myTube. A future update will let you save videos to a microSD card, and users will be able to select a video, and download the audio only. The update is coming in just a few weeks, so get ready!

The developer has been teasing this for a little while. One of the very few reasons I'll actually miss WP when I switch back.

I would say this is the best, if not, the one of the best YouTube apps on any platform. Just wish it was on Android. Simple, yet intuitive design and UI with functionality to go with it.

I find it funny that on Android there aren't any good YT clients, iOS has MCTube, WP has Metrotube and this, but on Android the best client is the official one and it lacks much funcionality compared to those.

This is a fantastic You Tube app. I love it. It is well supported and has a ton of features. WP may be missing Google support, but not in You Tube clients. This and Metro Tube are great ones, and there are several good ones.

Since there is no native YouTube app (thanks google), I just use the browser, especially with the updated video player in 8.1. I honestly don't care enough to get an app, because I use it so little and it is just a waste of space on my phone.

Well the official app is just a web browser, so there really is no point.

Depends, sometimes i like to preload videos, easier navigation, or just supporting developers. Metrotube is free, or you can donate by buying the app. Personally most apps support metrotube as the preferred open to app, like windows central does. ads.

Good going. The native youtube app is useless anyway.

I wish there were a decent YouTube client for Android that would let you easily download videos for offline use.
