Vivo Xplay3S to be the world’s first 2560x1440 pixels display 2K HD phone

We aren't finished with Vivo news for today, as the company has more in store besides the thinnest Android phone, the X3, and the one with rotating Nikon camera, whatever it gets named.

Apparently Vivo is planning to one-up everybody, and use a surely expensive 2560x1440 pixels display panel in an upcoming Xplay3S smartphone. One similar product we've heard about so far is Toshiba's 6.1" 2560x1600 pixels display with 500ppi pixel density, but it's not clear what panel Vivo will be using as now Sharp and Japan Display might have such units ready for mass production.

If you think that's overkill, we can't agree more, but ultra high-res video is fast approaching, so you might squeeze some real use out of such a screen, not to mention the bragging rights if Vivo Xplay3S manages to pull that crazy mobile display panel resolution first.
