Vivo Xplay 6 to be unveiled this month carrying the SD-821 SoC, 4000mAh battery and 6 GB RAM
On November 16th, the Vivo X9 and Vivo X9 Plus are expected to be unveiled.  The X9 carries a dual camera setup on front (20MP and 8MP) with a 16MP snapper on back. The Snapdragon 653 chipset powers the device and 6GB of RAM is included, along with 64GB of native storage. The X9 Plus will have dual cameras on both the front and back of the unit.

Vivo has another high-end model that will be introduced this month and go on sale in December. That phone is the Vivo Xplay 6. The unit is equipped with a screen carrying a 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution. Powering the handset will be the Snapdragon 821 SoC featuring a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 128GB of native storage. Keeping the hamster wheel spinning is the 4000mAh battery that is included. Funtouch OS 3.0, based on Android, is pre-installed.

Sounds like November and December will be very busy months for Vivo. Pricing and availability for the X9, X9 Plus and Xplay 6 will be announced when the devices are unveiled.

Another tree in the jungle... Another bird in the sky... Another coin in the piggy bank... Another coal in the barbecue... Another smartphone in the Android Herd... Pretty exciting, eh? G'Day!

I don't know why Vivo insists on selling their devices with their Funtouch OS Android version? Why do they have to put their twist on the Android OS. Sure you can make your own launcher with UI tweaks, but when you have to put a twist on the Android OS itself. Then no thanks. Most likely those devices will not be Daydream VR compatible.

Unless there was an xplay 1-5, I'm hoping for a 6" screen to justify the name and give me another solid 6"+ flagship to pick between

Starting to become more and more redundant with all of these Android devices. It's almost like who cares...

Well at least they've wisen up on the batt capacity. Their prices over here in Malaysia are just ridiculous high.

Do not just rely on specs. Actual reliability and performance will depend on real life comparisons. Though the iPhones are overpriced and the possible low price of vivo handsets might be an advantage for them. Still the 7 plus has a dual camera setup with proper utilisation of its capabilities, a faster-than-821 Apple A10 fusion chipset, a 2910 mah battery that makes the phone last much more than MANY android phones with the same capacity, an equally capable 2k screen with possibly the best lcd display, and stereo speakers. So before bragging, tale a look at the product you wish to diminish. And even if we imagine the vivo x6 play proves to be faster and better than the 7 plus, the iPhone will still outsell the vivo by a huge margin. So ur "who needs iphone?" commemt will prove worthless at the end.
