Viber gets updated for ICS: better voice quality, plenty of new features
Viber is a free VoIP application for iOS and Android, and what makes it unique is that it’s baked deep down the platforms and always active, so you don’t have to have open an app - it just works quietly in the background.
And now, Viber has been updated to fit Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices, adding plenty of new features.
Probably the biggest new addition is improved quality of voice calls. Viber can also geotag your messages with a single tap if you wish and attach that location to your texts. That’s awesome and just very useful in case of an emergency.
The updated application supports sending and receiving pictures, and adds landscape mode for your messages, for more room for your fingers. You can also actually see when someone is typing a message to you. The best part about Viber? It’s completely free - check it out below and share your experience with the app in the comments.
