Unlocked BlackBerry Z10 smartphones land on eBay, don't come cheap
Although the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is already available in some markets, it won't be coming to the U.S. anytime soon, or at least not through a major carrier. That doesn't mean, however, that you can't own one right now, as long as you don't mind paying a hefty price for it.

Retail BlackBerry Z10 units are already available on eBay – unlocked and ready to work with a GSM carrier of your preference with support for LTE and all. But their pricing will surely make you think twice before hitting that blue button as bids currently stand at about $1000 and above. At the time of this writing, there are at least several black BlackBerry Z10 smartphones listed, one of which has a current bid of $1100. The white model is even more sought after, judging by its $1,375 current bid.

Of course, there's probably not much point in bidding on these BlackBerry Z10 smartphones, unless you are a hardcore BlackBerry enthusiast like these folks. Perhaps just sitting tight and waiting for a while would be wiser as pre-orders for the handset should begin soon through both carriers and third-party retailers.

Plus, it's eBay guys. They just want to see how much money they can get off of this. The retail model sold from BB themselves won't cost as much.

This is the same for anything. If someone sells something on eBay before it's officially available or if there's limited availability at launch it's always extortionately priced. The PS3 was going for $3,000-5,000 at launch because it was hard to get.

Wait until these are available in Canada. Ebay listings should come down to ~$750.

which fool would spend this amount on a phone, plus dual core, and BB...? For that price, you can get a gold iP5 or a gold S3 or the Nexus4™
