The first Motorola Droid Turbo 2 wallpaper (Quad HD) is now available to download

While we still don't know exactly when the rumored (and yet to be announced) Motorola Droid Turbo 2 will be released, we have a feeling that it's going to happen pretty soon. After all, we recently heard that the handset could be available starting this month. Until Verizon and Motorola confirm the existence of the new Droid Turbo, it looks like we can already check out (and download) one of the wallpapers that will come pre-installed on the phone.

Revealed by Droid-life, the Droid Turbo 2 wallpaper is a 2880 x 2560 pixels one, obviously being made for Quad HD (1440 x 2560) screens. As previously reported, the new Motorola handset should sport a Quad HD 5.5-inch (or maybe 5.4-inch) screen, thus being slightly smaller than the Moto X Style / X Pure Edition. The Turbo 2 is also expected to come with an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, a 5 MP front-facing camera, a 21 MP rear camera, 32 GB / 64 GB of storage space, and a 3760 mAh battery with Turbo Charging.

Outside of the US, the Droid Turbo 2 could be sold as the Motorola X Force (in Europe and Asia). We'll let you know when we hear more about all this.
