The Apple Watch adorns the next cover of Vogue China
Last week, we told you about a cryptic tweet sent by Chinese fashion model Liu Wen. In the tweet, Wen hinted that she had been photographed with the Apple Watch prior to a more recent snapshot showing her wearing the timepiece. That led to speculation that the model had already filmed some upcoming commercials for the device. It also was another sign that Apple planned on promoting the fashion aspect of the watch just as much as it would promote the technology and connected features of the product.

As it turned out, Liu Wen's previous shoot with the watch was not a commercial after all. It was a cover shoot for Vogue China. Yes, that's right. The Apple Watch hasn't even been launched and already it merits the cover of an iconic fashion magazine (in China, anyway). While design has always been an Apple staple, the company has never totally given in to the fashion world before. Apple has tried to lure the fashionistas by allowing fashion bloggers to attend the unveiling of the Apple Watch. It also let the product be displayed in France during the country's fashion week. The tech titan reportedly gave Vogue China the first shot at doing a spread on the Watch, because of the country's openness in accepting new technology

While the Apple Watch itself won't be ready to purchase until next year, the Vogue China November issue should be out soon. On the cover, Liu Wen can be seen wearing the 18K gold edition Apple Watch. Inside the magazine, she is photographed wearing other versions of the watch.
