Remember the Sony Xperia L? An Xperia L1 might be coming soon

Sony already revealed four new smartphones in 2017 (Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia XZs, Xperia XA1, and Xperia XA1 Ultra), but the company will obviously not stop here. A new Sony Android handset that could be announced later this year is the Xperia L1 (model number G3312).

Recently approved by telecommunications regulators in Russia, the Xperia L1 will likely be a spiritual successor to the Sony Xperia L (pictured above). In case you don't remember, the Xperia L is a handset released way back in 2013 with features like a 4.3-inch display, an LED notification strip, and a slightly curved back.

Unfortunately, details about the specs of the upcoming Xperia L1 are completely missing. However, four years ago, the Xperia L was a mid-range phone, so maybe the L1 will fall into the same category. We'll share more on this when new relevant info is available.

Xperia L - One of the most successful mid range android phone from Sony ... This was the first phone to bring Dual Core Krait processor at bang for the buck price .. destroyed the competition totally at that time.. it was only beaten by it's little brother Xperia M Xperia M, L and SP - The trio that gave Samsung a good run for their money

Not to mention the Xperia ZR which I'm still having as a secondary phone, that was released with a quad core krait and adreno 320 with water resistance, 2gb ram and 13mp camera for 30k rupees!! still a solid lower midend spec for 2017 and a phone that was updated from 4.1 to 4.2 to 4.2.2 to 4.3 to 4.4 to 5.0 and 5.1 and finally 5.1.1!!! now running cm14. 1 though

That moment when most of the manufacturer release phones with creative concept;light strip, unconventional design. Ah, I missed those times. Xperia P, SP were something back then.

Considering that Sony XA1 and XA1 Ultra were G32XX and G3121, the new Xperia has G3312, so that might mean that it is placed higher than these?? A FP sensor maybe? Or I might be just wrong..

Wow, I still have my 3 years old xperia L, my first personal smartphone. Sony's midranges of those time were way too expensive but were also kinda tough phones, not like the recent xperia X or Xa that is cheap plastic and paint on them, too vulnerable to scratches (even on the cam lens). And that led notification thing was cool, I wish they have an xperia sp sort of light again. So cool it was to see them pulse to the rhythm of songs. That time was good for Sony ,even in India it was once 2nd most selling company though after Samsung but beating apple to 3rd spot. But I feel Sony is really improving recently, no ?

I think it will under xperia x range...because xperia x is the new chapter.. Just like Xperia XA is a successor of Xperia E5 Xperia XA ultra is a successor of Xperia C5 Ultra Xperia X is a successor of Xperia M5 Xperia XZ and XZ Premium are the successor of Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium Xperia X Compact is a successor of Xperia Z5 Compact (Maybe Sony could release Xperia XZ Compact) Xperia XZs is a successor of Xperia X Performance I think the Xperia L could be in X series...maybe XL, XB XD XE XR?
