Samsung Z LTE seems to be an upcoming Tizen smartphone
Samsung's first Tizen smartphone, the Z1, isn't exactly an attention grabber: it's just a low-end, sub-$100 handset that was launched earlier this year in select Asian markets. But new Tizen smartphones are likely coming soon, and some of them might be a bit more interesting.

Earlier this month, a few photos of an alleged Samsung Z2 showed up. Now, a new image coming out of South Korea seems to reveal a relatively similar handset (at least when it comes to design), and it's said that this one is called Samsung Z LTE. Obviously, this smartphone should offer 4G connectivity. If the rest of its features are akin to those of the Z2, they could include a 540 x 960 pixels display, 1 GB of RAM, and a 2000 mAh battery.

At the moment, we don't know when and where (or if) the Samsung Z LTE and Samsung Z2 will be released. But it probably won't be long before we hear more about Samsung's plans regarding its Tizen smartphones.

Would you be interested in trying a Samsung-made handset that's based on Tizen?

Sammy did the impossible: Tizen beats Android in "worst OS known to mankind" even by a tiny margin.

I expected you to say something to denigrate both Samsung and Android here. If you want to go do that, do it on another website... e.e

Tizen still has the potential to become something more, you should bash it if you haven't tried it.

Let's see you create an OS more successful than Android and Tizen. We'll be waiting.

Please go to BGR. You will fit right in over there. You are an affront to the tech community.

Tizen may be a piece of s**t. But remember that Android was once in the same position years back and look at it now. Don't underestimate the massive resources and dedication of Samsung to spread Tizen. They're just testing the waters starting with the low-end market first.

Nothing s**t about the Samsung z1, it was one of the best selling low end phones in India and Bangladesh and it did pretty well when its competing with thousands of cheap chinese phones and moto G.

Lol these r the same ppl who laughed at Samsung wen the note 1 came out... Couple years later.... Apple who said 3.5 is the perfect size now have something thats 4.7 and 5.5... Lol..... Hope Samsung never give up... I'm actually rooting for tizen to beat windows then start being a threat to iOS and android... I believe they will learn from there mistake from android... If they keep making the os smooth and light like what I see on the z1 they can go places...

Can anyone, please explain the point of Tizen besides Smartwatches/wearables for those aren't interested in Android Wear. Why would you buy a Tizen device above Android or a Windows Phone? (or a 5c with iOS)

Better battery life, more efficient architecture, faster, more optimized. better customization among different devices. Better HTML5 optimization and support, allowing html5 webapps apps which are cross compatible with any device, to actually work like native apps. as well as much faster web browsing. And cheaper while not sacrificing the speed of high end androids
