Samsung Galaxy S US web site goes live, rumor hints to a Verizon release as well?
Slowly and surely, the build up for the anticipation for the Samsung Galaxy S launch in the US is bubbling as a promotional web site is now live on Samsung's US page. This follows after promotional boxes were sent out and now we are witnessing an eventual release “coming this summer.” From wireless carriers to Samsung, everyone is keeping a low profile regarding which provider will be graced with the high-end Android smartphone offering. We've heard numerous times by now at how T-Mobile and AT&T may be the biggest guesses, but now there are speculations that Verizon may as well be in the race to offer the Samsung Galaxy S. Based on a report by a Howard Forums user, there is a CDMA version of the handset in the making which could see it bound for Big Red. Verizon surely has some of the most prolific Android handsets available in the US market with devices like the Motorola DROID, HTC Droid Incredible, and a rumored upcoming launch for the Motorola Droid Xtreme. Adding the Galaxy S would definitely make it one crowded lineup, but it would boast plenty of variety at that point. It remains unseen if this will actually pan out, but there is always that slight possibility.
