Rumored Xiaomi Mi Edge offers a curved edge on both sides of the screen
The unannounced Xiaomi Mi Edge is strictly a rumor at this point. With a curved edge on both sides of the handset, the phone supposedly resembles something like the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge or Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+. Weibo tipster @KJuma and website MyDrivers.com have both been passing along rumored specs and images of what they expect inside and outside the Mi Edge, and it all starts with the 5.2-inch curved edged screen that wraps around both sides of the phone. With a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution screen, the pixel density on the handset is a sharp 565ppi.

Based on the rumors, the Xiaomi Mi Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 808 chipset, which offers a hexa-core CPU and the Adreno 418 GPU. 3GB or 4GB of RAM is inside, and there is some speculation about a fingerprint scanner being placed on the unit. The phone is expected to come to market in October, priced at the equivalent of $391 USD.

This is a story that you should be taking with a grain of salt. While it isn't too far fetched to imagine a curved screen device undergoing testing at Xiaomi, nothing close to an official word about the model has been uttered from the phone manufacturer's camp at this point.

If it turns out to be true and at that price it will probably do well in China. The Samsung edge phones are overpriced and they do not offer any benefits apart from the aesthetics.

The Snapdragon 808 is far from underpowered. On paper it may be worse then the 810 but in real life performance it is just as good.

Bring that to USA and it would sell like hot cakes at that price.

I doubt if it would sell that much. I'm not sure but Americans are not too keen on using Chinese phones.

We Don't Use Them Cause None Of Them Are Available Though Our Carriers And Most Of Them Don't Work On Our Network Bands, Or They Do Work But Don't Offer 4G Only 3G. I Think They Would Sell Great If They Were More Available And Worked On All Our Network Bands 3G And 4G.

Awwwww come on Xiaomi, it's good that you bring the feature to us with lower price, but at least don't copy the name too. You can do better than that.

Not suprising since they call their phablet the Mi Note.

Have used both Xiaomi MI4 and Mi 4i, and dissapointed with both. Once you use them, you will understand why the experience is just better with Apple/Samsung devices. Spec sheet looks very good, but the overall experience is just not satisfactory. Overheating, low batterylife even though bigger battery capacity are just the norm.

I think refined user experience is what those 2 companies are good at.

Love my mi note pro, better than any of the other top devices I've had... S6 edge, note 4, iPhone 6 plus. This is the longest I've had a device. The back is curved glass and was released well before the Note 5, so who's copying who ?

Obviously you did not have any of those (maybe just borrow from friends or relative). I have MiNote Malaysia set with me using alongside with my Note4. I CAN ASSURE YOu MiNote UI still very buggy and sluggish since Mi3. TouchWiz and IOS are way well polished and are way advanced than MIUI.

Haven't read the comments yet but I hope people don't go all protectionist mode and go bashing Xiaomi for adopting the curved design. People haven't blamed Blackberry for doing it. They can certainly do better with names but that's damnright nitpicking.
