Results: fingerprint rules the day
For the past months, security unlocking has been moving towards iris-scanning and face-scanning. What started with the Note 7's rather odd iris scanner, then we got the iPhone X's Face ID, which — for better or worse — pushed face scanning into the mainstream. Now, everyone seems to be adding the feature to their phones.

Of course, unlike Apple, who said “Face ID is all you need, folks!” and removed the good old fingerprint scanner, competing manufacturers actually prefer to leave the old options in... you know, just in case someone actually prefers a fingerprint scan instead of oogling at their device until it unlocks.

So, we thought we'd ask — which camp are you in? Here's how that vote went:

Would you use face unlock if you have a fingerprint scanner?

Nah, fingerprint all the way!
I have my face unlock set up, but very rarely use it
I use all my unlocking features evenly, depending on situation
I use face / iris scan much more than fingerprint
I demand an "I don't lock my phone" option

I believe it's you who blindly follows what Apple dictates is best for you. A mindless drone to do their bidding

I agree Face ID works great. The irus scanner on samsung phones is useless if you wear glasses and finger print scanner doesn't work if you are sweating. Face ID is fast and well designed. Apple did it right with this one.

No problem with glasses and iris scanner. What are you smoking? And why is your finger or thumb so wet from sweating????

Spoken like true iZombie :)) . Most Apple users agree that face ID is flawed, and they wish Apple would bring touch id back :))

Fingerprint scanner more convenient expecially on the front. Roll on major phone manufacturers using front under glass fingerprint scanner.

Fingerscanner 90% more convenient until cold weather come, so i said fingerscanner for daily use and face ID is for backup.

I guarantee the majority of you do not have the iphone X and have no basis for your claims stating that the fingerprint reader is better.

And I guarantee you are brain-washed or haven't used Touch ID or lack sense of how convenience should be.

I know my sister, cousin or stranger can't get in with my fps or iris scanner whereas they may with face id. And fps is faster and single step. Good enough reason for me.

Don't need an iPhone X to know I would rather use an FPS than something I need to point at my face. My S7 comes out of my pocket unlocked, finger on the FPS as I grab it. Not a deal breaker, but personally I want an FPS.

"I guarantee the majority of you do not have the iphone X" That statement will always be true since iPhoneX market share is less than 1% (unless you ask a group of "iPhoneX's users")

And who ever said the Note 7 was first with an iris scanner? Sorry guys, Microsoft beat everybody to that punch with the 950 and 950XL.
