Poll results: Google Pixel vs Apple iPhone 7 showdown

Poll results: Google Pixel vs Apple iPhone 7 showdown
This year, Apple's iPhone meets a new adversary. And not one from a company that no one's heard of, but one by Android's creator itself — we are talking about the Google Pixel phone, of course.

With the iPhone 7, Apple placed its bets on a tried and tested formula and brought no serious developments in terms of design. It did, however, upgrade its camera once again, added stereo speakers (sort of), went for a quad-core processor for the first time, and... well... removed the 3.5 mm jack. Hey, at least storage tiers are doubled and are now 32 GB / 128 GB / 256 GB.

Google's Pixel held more tricks up its sleeve, mostly because it's the new kid on the block. Surprisingly, its camera does wonders and is arguably the best one available on a smartphone right now. Its hardware is the cookie-cutter Android flagship pack – a Snapdragon 821 with 4 GB of RAM, and iPhone-esque storage tiers of 32 GB and 128 GB.

We thought we'd ask you — if that was the only choice you had — which of these two phones would you pick up? And the votes tallied up like this:

Imagine there's no other choice, which one would you go for?

Apple iPhone 7 / Plus
32.55%
Google Pixel / XL
67.45%

More of a reflection of the readership here than anything. I don't expect to suddenly see scores of Pixels in the wild. If there were an "Other" option, it would have won handily.

Lol I was about to say the same. As much as they complain about this site, and calling it iphonearena, there is sic [ship] load of Android fanboyism in here, they just love to whine.

When PA says nice things about the iPhone, they're being unprofessional and biased. When PA says nice things about an Android phone, they're just speaking the truth. It's partisan politics for tech geeks!

You are blind if you believe PA is objective. They are clearly biased.

I think PA does a better job than most sites that focus on multiple operating systems. Their iPhone bias comes through once in a while and when it does we call them on it.

There are many android fanboys, android - samsung fanboys, just samsung fanboys, nexus fanboys, lg fanboys, iPhone fanboys and combination of these. Almost everyone loves to whine.

I love both. I just got the pixel XL and it's my daily driver. I don't see the need to upgrade my 6s plus especially since the iPhone turns 10 next year, and more than likely will be a big s upgrade.
