OnePlus will bring a "change" on June 1: probably the OnePlus 2

OnePlus will bring a
OnePlus seems to be finally ready to unveil a new smartphone, which is expected to be called OnePlus 2 (or OnePlus Two - not that there's a significant difference between these names). The company today informed us that it's "time for change", while posting an image - seen below - which suggests that a new, redesigned smartphone will be presented next week, on June 1.

Apparently, OnePlus believes that, just like last year when it launched the OnePlus One, it can, once again, "shake up the tech industry."

According to previous reports, the OnePlus 2 could feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, and even a fingerprint scanner. The new handset might be a bit more expensive than the OnePlus One (which can be bought for as low as $299 unlocked.

Even if it's going to be announced on June 1, the OnePlus 2 isn't expected to be launched this quarter. Instead, OnePlus will probably start selling it from July (possibly only via the company's controversial invite system, at least for the beginning). We're genuinely interested to see what OnePlus has been working on lately, and we hope that its upcoming smartphone won't disappoint.

Last I heard Cyanogen is suppose to be fixing that, not Oneplus. Also you're 2 O's too short. (:

A chance in invites maybe. This start up company already dig it's own grave by having bad sales strategy and worst after sales. One plus forgot that there are better options out there as well.

Not really their fault, they had way too much demand than they were able to supply, they're not that big

Why, no company will make flagship that small again, maybe Sony with their smaller versions of Z3s - Z4... for me 5.5"-5.7" is perfect..

People eat up that Invitation stuff. That's why I wasn't interested in the One Plus One. Either make it available for sale or don't, I don't have time for that.

That was just in USA, in Europe you didn't need invitation, i just went to site and bought one... and in US there was day in every week that you could buy without invitation.

Wrong. Only in China there was no invitation system. Every other country had that lame invite crap.

Invite was required for almost a year in the US. It wasn't until a couple of months ago they announced the no invite needed Tuesday.

If not the 2, it will be a OnePlus One A. All the bugs they've worked out, supplies are high, want to rid them before announcing the 2. When the 2 does come out, you won't be able to get one without an invite anyway, so, it will be Aug/Sept before you can even think about getting one anyway, and by that time, considering the 2 will have a price more in line with the big boys, and considering OnePlus has a HORRIBLE track record on support, do you want to take that chance AGAIN (if you already have the OnePlus One)?

Not sure what they can offer to tempt me to upgrade. My OnePlus One is running strong after 8 months of my post-iPhone era and it still lasts the entire day despite all my system tweaking. Could NEVER say that about my jailbroken iPhone.

Oh great. Maybe it will become readily available three months after its irrelevant.

Being an early owner of the OnePlus One, which I'm still using as my secondary phone, I'm staying away from the SD810 and won't be buying this phone unfortunately.
