New Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 images show how thin the tablet is, reveal extra features

The new images seem to be taken from an official promo video, and allow us to see that the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is one slender device, having a thinness of only 6.6mm (the Tab S 8.4 is supposed to be even thinner at 6.5mm). The slate has a Remote PC mode, and seemingly allows users to sync it with their smartphone for taking calls directly on the tablet.
As already reported, the back of the new Tab S series features the same dotted pattern seen on Samsung’s Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone. One of the images embedded below shows a close-up of the Tab S 10.5’s back (including its rear camera with LED flash).
Android 4.4 KitKat, fingerprint sensor, 3GB of RAM and an octa-core Exynos 5420 processor should be among the common features of the Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4.
According to a timetable spotted yesterday, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Tab S 8.4 should be available to pre-order one day after their official announcement, on June 13. Both new devices should be properly launched on June 27.
- Display 10.5" 2560 x 1600 pixels
- Camera 8 MP / 2.1 MP front
- Processor Samsung Exynos 5 Octa, Octa-core, 1900 MHz
- Storage 32 GB + microSDXC
- Battery 7900 mAh

What program is that on pic 3? Anyways, this looks nice and very band-aid-ish.

I don't get why everyone complained when the Asus PadFone launched and people needed to take the phone out for calls or otherwise take the call IN TABLET MODE... and now with Apple announcement of answering calls on your MAC, and Samsung allowing taking calls on your Tablet... What were people bitchin' about the PadFone then??? I really don't see the advantage of taking your calls anywhere else than your phone (or headset)... so I really see no appealing in that particular Apple announcement or that particular slide of this article...

Don't see any purpose of these tablets. They already have Tab Pros and Note Pros. Brace yourselves guys, more tablet spam coming soon.

I really hatting the back band aid thingie. I know I will put a case on every tablet I own. But that still troubles me with that bandaid look. Tab Pro/Note 2014 got it right with the faux leather. I will hold on to my Nex 10 more and wait for possible new Nexus series or LG's upcoming tablets. So far the only thing I saw that would up the ante of the Note 2014 is the AMOLED, given resolution is still the same...

How come no one called Nexus 7 (2012) band aid? Side by side, the backs look the same.
