Motorola Moto 360 just $149 for a limited time from Best Buy

Looking for a great deal on an Android Wear flavored watch? You might want to take a trip to your local Best Buy store where the Motorola Moto 360 can be purchased for just $149. That is a $100, or better than 40% discount. Keep in mind that this is a limited time sale, and while Best Buy didn't say so, it would seem a natural thing for the discount to end not too long after Memorial Day does. By the way, the deal is also available from Best Buy's website.

Last month, we told you that Motorola is apparently working on the sequel to the smartwatch, using the code name "Smelt." Normally, a price discount of this magnitude might set off rumors that the sequel is close to be unveiled. But the combination of a major U.S. holiday combined with competition from other brands could be the impetus behind this sale.

Best Buy has the Moto 360 available with a number of strap options. If you haven't joined the smartwatch brigade yet, this might be a great opportunity for you to join while keeping the damage to your wallet at a minimum.

You can buy two of these stainless steel Moto 360's with a leatger band and have a dinner out with you wife, for the price of 1 Apple watch sport. Which comes with a rubberized band with an Aluminum case.

This is my favorite smarth watch of all the current ones. I'm just waiting on something faster and more stand-alone with the design of the 360, so I can leave my Note 4 at home from time to time. The gear S is too big for me.

The current gen Moto 360 has WiFi, so with the Android Wear 5.1.1 update you can leave the phone at home. As long as your near WiFi that is open or you have previously pair with. There is even a 3rd party app that will let you get notifications for iPhones now.

Was just at Best Buy today for something else, but I saw this on sale. Took the entire rational side of my brain to restrain me from purchasing it. Gorgeous device, much lighter than it looks. The only downside is that the pixels are warped and discolored at the very edge (and of course, the "flat tire.")

This should be the price range the smart watch should originally be priced consider the average life span of smart watch is 12 to 15 months. For the Samsung Gear 1 there are software limiting its use. I can't turn my gear 1 on after a certain period after its 12 months warranty. Charging the watch only generate a lot of heat. I will stay away from Samsung Gear Watch range if they have wriggled the watch to fail after a certain period.
