Motorola Gleam is a thin clamshell phone for Europe, reminds of times past
Motorola's contribution to the MWC Expo in a few days will be a stylish clamshell phone, called Motorola Gleam, for the European market. The etched keyboard reminds us very much of the acclaimed Motorola RAZR, that took the company out of the doldrums a few years ago, and that feat alone makes it interesting.

Other than that it is 13.9mm thin, has a 2.4" QVGA screen, and an LED matrix on the outer shell to keep you in sync with appointments, missed calls and unread messages. The basic goodies are also here - 2MP camera with video capture abilities, microUSB charging port, standard audio jack, and a microSD card slot for cards up to 16GB.

The Motorola Gleam will be available in three colors - graphite gray, lacquer red, and thistle, in the first half of 2011, for an yet undisclosed price.
