Man cuts his Apple iPhone 5 in half following divorce

Man cuts his Apple iPhone 5 in half following divorce
Call it the iPhone 2.5. A German man whose significant other left him following a divorce has divided some of his possessions in half. The items that were split in the middle run the gamut from expensive (a car!) to cheap (a stuffed toy). Within that range you will find an Apple iPhone 5, which was sawed in half.

A video made by the jilted gent shows him using a saw to cut the iPhone 5 vertically, right down the middle. Translating some of the sentences written in German, the video says "Thank you for 12 ‘beautiful’ years Laura!!!! You’ve really earned half. Greetings to my successor."

Half of each cut item was put up for auction on eBay where oddly enough, many of them found buyers. Bidding on the halved Apple iPhone 5 (the side containing the camera, as it turns out) starts at the equivalent of $188.50 USD. So far, there are no takers.

Half of an iPhone 5 on aftermarket still holds value better than most Android phones.

Don't be a butthurt fanboy tedkurd.....Im sure that when Apple releases the 6S they'll be sure to send you an update to slow your iGear down so you'll have a reason to spend more money on new iToys..... iJEST.....

If that's the case why Apple is optimizing performance even on 4 years old iPhone 4S ? I like how you iHaters turn everything Apple does into a negative, even if it is something you would really like to have.

How many new features will it get from the update? I had idevices in the past, they do great in the beginning but the updates ruin them. You don't get the new features after a year and a half & the updates only make your devices slower.... If you don't update the os, many third party app updates become incompatible... They should have something like the play services to provide security updates regularly without requiring you to update the OS on old devices

What perfomance on 4s? LOL My 4s lags like crap, it takes 3 second to just rotate the screen so you can keep talking bs but no one will believe you

Optimize? i think it's actually happened! not until i try my friend older iPhone 4s... It's really slow & laggy compared to my m8, to me it's a lie even after they removing some feature on older device.

Let me know when Samesung doesn't do what you just said. Also, how are you liking the S6 Plus coming out by Samsung? Wonder what made them use that name.... Guess it was the useless iPhone 6 Plus that sold triple of all Note 4's in half a year. LOL.

Could it be HTC??? Because I do recall, wait, didn't HTC start using the + first? HTC One X+ it 2012... Then there was the iPhone 6+ in 2015... iForgot that 2015 came before 2012.....My bad....

DAMN, forgot about that one....But 2014 Still came before 2011, RIGHT?

Plus is a different marketing word than +. Even if you did find a phone with the word Plus in it prior to the new iPhone 6 Plus, the fact that Samsung is throwing or re-using ( I think there was a SS phone prior) into their upcoming flagship says a lot about a company (most likely that they are always.... LOL )

The Galaxy SII Plus predated the iPhone 6 Plus APPLE.doesn't use the + sign, they use the word Plus. Dude are you really that stupid? Apple has NEVER had an original idea...EVER. ALSO a symbol in this case replaces a word. Plus and + are equal in meaning and both mean something extra. Wow I wished I could have been the fly on the wall of your brain to hear you think before you post. I bet I could vet some good laughs.

What it says is that their branding is consistent, since they've been putting out Plus phones since at least 2011. The real question is why did Apple suddenly put out a blatant copy of the Note series (complete with a half assed copy of one handed mode called reachability) after years of insisting that there was no use for large screened phones?

Who said they are using that name? It's being made up by pro apple media!

Android OEMS don't put older versions of Android on phones that can't handle it. APPLE DOESN'T CARE. One women sued Apple for releasing an update that made her phone unuable. And she couldnt revert it back to the way it was when itndid. She felt Apple did it on purpose to five you ton uy a new pbone. I don't see Samsung trying to upgrade the GS3 to Lollipop.

What made them use that name was the S5 Plus that came out last year, and the S4 Plus that came out the year before. The iPhone 6 Plus did sell more than the Note 4. The Note 4 was reviewed and rated as better than the iPhone 6 Plus by nearly all tech reviewers. The best item rarely sells the most.

On android you won't get the new update and miss out on critical features and updates forcing you to upgrade to the next more expensive toy. Don't be a hypocrite.

You consider the Moto G a flagship? s**t is horrendous. Hate getting snapchats from this one thot with the moto G.. her beautiful face is always blocked by grainy distorted dark blurryness.
