Latest rumor calls for extremely thin Apple iPhone 7

Latest rumor calls for extremely thin Apple iPhone 7
The Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus both became a little thicker when compared to the Apple iPhone 6 and Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Apparently due to 3D Touch, both new models rose in thickness by .2mm when compared to the prior version of the phones. For example, the iPhone 6s is 7.1mm thick, up from the 6.9mm that the iPhone 6 measures. The iPhone 6s Plus is 7.3mm thick compared to the prior version's reading of 7.1mm.

But new rumors suggest that Apple has put the Apple iPhone 7 on a diet and the next iteration of Apple's iconic handset will measure between 6mm and 6.5mm. Removing the 3.5mm earphone jack is expected to give Apple some room to make the iPhone 7 even more svelte. It was hoped by many that Apple would use the extra space to put in a higher capacity battery instead of just making the phone thinner.

A higher capacity juicer still might be on the table. A picture that we showed you last month allegedly reveals that the battery of the iPhone 7 will have a 6.5% increase in watthours from the 6.61 WHr on the iPhone 6s cell, to 7.04 WHr.  A similar percentage increase would take the iPhone 7 battery to 1826mAh from the 1715mAh of the iPhone 6s battery.

"I feel the same" as in you are obsessed with the logo? Lol. Anyway, Chinese women are, once again, going to compare the size of their legs to the iPhone 7. Another phone to benchmark their thinness.

Your post would be correct except you're missing one part of reality - every manufacturer advertises their devices - Samsung and some others actually makes fun of you if you own an iPhone - if that's not aggressive adbertizing I don't know what is. People buy iPhones because their experience was great with the previous one. The only time experience wasn't what they expected was the rely iso8 versions - that's when Apple just lost their best employee Steve jobs and a new guy was trying to catch up to his position. But even then I had 5s and 5 and they weren't as bad as some experiences I've seen from some android users. Stop insulting people who choose iPhones - it's never correct, it is getting old, and if it's a joke it's tiled being funny long time ago even among normal android fans. Enjoy your green thumbs.

STOP ? haha don't tell me what to do go tell STOP to your mom or dad not me ..;) Who is insulted? how you know somebody is insulted??? do u have prove ? u monitoring all ppl (who has iphone) in the world that all of them been insulted ? Yet u show u insulted that means I uncovered truth about you !! go with your crap speculating words to your mum.. I have iphone here next to me u pathetic naive person.. I buy iphones and repair them because this phone is what ppl will buy even for big money If u don't understand what I was trying to say go to school or grow up first..

Don't get that once locked in, there really is no way out. Because you can't play your music and video anywhere else. Oh wait, many people have no idea that Apple's version of the MP3 will play on an Android with no issues. If you buy more than 4 products from Apple, you are simply basically forced to stay with them or you will have to pretty much start all over. Or how about people buy the iPhone because its the "only" experience with a phone they had. They may not even like it, they just aren't the type of people who want to learn something new; like a new platform. What about those people? Then you have the people who buy an iPhone, because its an iPhone. Or the buyers who just buy everything Apple has ever made. People buy what they buy for lots of reasons, not just your fanboy reasoning.

Right. not even the majority of those who buy iPhones are aware of the specs. the logo is everything for them, nothing else matters.

On the article about saving storage on an iPhone, I said you weren't hating. I gotta take that back now. People don't buy logos, they buy phones. You don't like iPhones, we get that, but millions of others do. Stop trolling dude, and just worry about your purchases.

Never hated apple. I used iphone up until 4s. Regardless don't need to defend myself to you. And please don't be such a hypocrite saying you are neutaral whereas we all know how you defend apple in every article. I can use any technology so long as it has use for my everyday life but buying bucause of popularity that I will never be. I thought you're one of the open minded here but look at you. Maybe take a look as well to all your opinion and see if I contradict it. And please read what I wrote "opinion". So respect other opinion @darkkjedii.

I'll respect your opinion, when you respect people right to buy what they want. You've become more and more of a troll, the longer you've been on this site. My "opinion" of course.

Apple has found a solution to this problem. with every new thin iphone they will give solar a panel hat so you can charge your phone every 4 hours and if its cloudy you get an extra nokia 3310 that will last for 5 days on a single charge.

40. AlikMalix unregistered

To be honest, the iPhone 6s has a smaller battery but lasts 3 hours longer... until new battery tech is developed - optimization is the key for now....

The only thing good that comes from making a phone thinner is you get a better selection of cases because I for one can't deal with a thick case. Don't get me wrong thought, I don't think a better case selection is worth choosing over a bigger battery and having the iP7's size stay about the same as the 6s.

Although I agree a thin phone helps diminish issues of putting a case/screen protector/both for depth, when in doubt, add a skin on top :p

Um.. According to the report.. The phone will be thinner and will have a larger battery? So what are you complaining about? The iPhone 6 Plus already has a battery life matching the Note 5.. So this year hopefully it will keep up with the note and maintain a decent battery life.

I take all these battery life tests and comparisons with a large pinch of salt, up until recently my iPhone had far better battery life than a couple of friends with allegedly longer lasting Galaxy 5 and 6 Edge's - the 6 Edge in particular seems awful no matter what adjustments they've tried to make to it. I prefer real world experience over the simulations (which have been cheated in the past by certain companies after all!) That said, my battery seems to have taken a hit in the last couple of months, flaking out a bit and shutting down at 0-20%, First time I've ever had an issue with an iPhone but it is a couple of years old I guess - I'd get it replaced but contract due up shortly...

Ya gotta love Apples incredible effort for software optimization. Even look how crazy it takes to render a FCPX video on a Mac compared to premiere on PC...the differences are unfathomable!

Specs win on paper for those obsessed by numbers (seem to be many on this site) while optimisation is always overlooked - that's still the reason Windows always sucks, rather than optimise they just throw more code in there. A programmer friend installed a mouse driver the other day which was 90meg, he pointed out that was around 63 x 3.5" floppy disks worth just to make a mouse work - yet we used to play huge Amiga games that came on a couple of disks...

Hey stupid, in case you haven't guessed, they could put a much bigger battery if they just maintained the previous thinness, don't you want a longer lasting iPhone?

28. Arch_Fiend

I am complaining about the fact that Apple could be increasing the battery size from iP6s to iP7 by much more than 111mah if they would use all of the extra space from the removal of the headphone jack to increase the battery size, instead of focusing on something as trivial as thinnes.

Everyone's desperate for a thinner iPhone! Oh wait, no, pretty much no-one wants that. The thinner iPhone doesn't even have any benefit (aside from cases as Arch_Fiend says) - the 6 design feels worse in the hand than all previous, thicker iPhones...
