LG V30 back cover poses for the camera on Note 8 announcement day

Only a few days separate us from the official premiere of LG's high-end phablet - the V30. As usual, more and more information has leaked out as the August 31 announcement date draws closer, and today, some pretty intriguing images emerged online.

Reliable tipster Roland Quandt shared a quartet of photos showing the rear cover of the V30, merely a few hours before the unveiling of one of its chief big-screen rivals - the Samsung Galaxy Note 8:

Quandt's best guess is that the color of the back plate is the silvery Ice Platinum, but it's also possible that the hue is actually Marine Blue. Both of these color options are available on the LG G6, so we'll let you decide on that one.

It's also interesting to note that these real-life photos of the phone's back are in line with the renders released by Evan Blass about a week ago, which gives them even more credibility.

Gotta love that centered finger scanner. How did they managed that and would you discuss it with Samsung?

No, it won't... The G6 do not have bootloop issue...The bootloop issue was with those phones having removable batteries..

The V series is a class act and is in a class of it's own. It's always a pleasure to see it evolve.

I really really hope that it will have IR blaster and it won't have major problems.

Does that means v30 has a removable battery? If indeed it is, then v30 will gonna be my next android phone. G3 being the first.

Doubtful, but I would definitely give them major credit if they did.

The last few generation of phones they released with removable battery starting from LG Optimus G Pro had the boot loop issues except the LG G2. My father's Optimus G Pro had the issue which was fixed after replacing the battery, My G3 had the issue which was fixed after replacing the battery. I think they put inferior quality batteries in those phones having removable batteries.

Removable battery or bust! Seriously, v20 had it and that made it stand out as all the other flagships stopped doing it, if it doesnt have a removable battery everyone would just get the note 8 as that stands out via s pen. I need a flag ship spec phone with removable battery

Looks to be equipped with the 3 camera sensors to make it a Tango-ready phone...
