Edging closer to a U.S. launch, Canada's Bell to release the Samsung Galaxy S II July 21st
Ask 10 cell phone fanatics what the hot phone is at the moment, and most likely the majority would reply, the Samsung Galaxy S II. But the phone has yet to be introduced in the U.S. which means all we have is a rumor that three four of the nation's top four carriers are getting the phone to launch. The good news is that the device is moving closer to the U.S. territory with a July 21st launch expected for Canadian's Bell.

Originally, we reported that the Samsung Galaxy S II would be released by Bell on July 14th, but a leaked screenshot of what appears to be internal carrier communications on a web site now shows the launch coming a week later. The word is that the carrier expects huge demand for the phone and does not want to launch it only to run out of stock so fast.

So now it is back to playing the waiting game for U.S. smartphone users who have already penciled in the device as their next handset. Those with a upgrade burning a hole in their pocket might need some professional help to make sure that they don't cave and end up with a new model that they don't really want. Still no word on pricing from Bell, but we have a feeling that sometime in the next 9 days we will find out what the price tag reads on the Bell version of the Samsung Galaxy S II.
