Coca-Cola is late to capitalize on selfies, as they are no longer a trend or novelty, but a rather commonplace fixture in modern society. Yet, the carbonated beverage giant's newest marketing campaign does just that with the bespoke Coca-Cola Selfie Bottle.
Masterminded by an Israeli advertising agency, the concept sees a regular plastic bottle of Coke upgraded with a selfie-snapping contraption attached right to its bottom, landing a pic as the user is sipping. The bottle must be tilted 70 degrees for the selfie cam to engage, which means it (thankfully) won't commemorate each occasion of drinking Coke.
The Selfie Bottle was present only at the Coca-Cola Summer Love event in Israel and although it was, reportedly, a hit among the partygoers, plans for expanding the campaign to other events or regions haven't been announced yet. Then again, it doesn't take the dexterity of an archer to snap yourself while drinking Coke with your smartphone, does it now?
