Since everyone has decided that an 18:9 display is innovative enough to drive the sales of a high-end smartphone, Asus didn't want to sort of “live in the past.” The Taiwanese company has decided to jump in the 18:9 display bandwagon and announced the upcoming availability of its first smartphone to feature such a screen – the Pegasus 4S.

Despite having a 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio, the smartphone isn't really a flagship. For starters, the screen features HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution. On the bright side, Asus Pegasus 4S has very thin bezels and packs a massive 4,030 mAh battery.

Hardware-wise, Asus included a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor, coupled with either 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, or 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The back side features a dual-camera setup comprising of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras. There's also a fingerprint sensor below.

The Pegasus 4S comes with Android 7.0 Nougat on board and dual-SIM support. For the time being, Asus will only launch the smartphone in China where customers will be able to purchase it starting November 9 in either Gold or Star Black.
