Apple releases new "iPhone can do what?" videos

Today, Apple released another five video tutorials starting with one that shows how Face ID on the iPhone will verify your identity, allowing you to use your face to log-in to apps like the one for your bank. Have a problem with your iPhone and need help from an expert? Another video reveals that if you tap the Apple Support icon, help will be on the way. The next video shows you how to change the Key Photo on your iPhone. This is the thumbnail image that represents a photo in your photo library. Thanks to Apple's Live Photos, the iPhone records what happens 1.5 seconds before and 1.5 seconds after you snap the shutter and take a picture. You can use any of the frames to change the Key Photo. To do this, open the Live Photo and click on Edit. Move the slider to change the frame. When you see the shot you want, take your finger off of the screen and tap on the box that says Make Key Photo.

Did you know that you can access the boarding pass for your flight on the iPhone? Thanks to one of the new video tutorials released by Apple, you can see how this done. When you get a notification on your iPhone relating to your flight, tap on it and you will see a boarding pass with your seat number. Obviously, this is available only with certain airlines like JetBlue. In what is less a video tutorial than a video reminder, Apple points out that you don't have to worry about water, rain or spills with the 2018 iPhones. The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max carry an IP68 rating, which means that the phone can be submerged in nearly 5 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes and emerge unscathed. The iPhone XR has an IP67 rating allowing it to be submerged in water for a bit over 3 feet for up to 30 minutes without sustaining any damage.
