AT&T offers double the data in promo that runs through Halloween

Starting tomorrow and running through October 31st, AT&T is doubling the amount of data offered with its Mobile Share Value plans. Those with two or more lines carrying data buckets between 15GB and 50GB, will see the amount of data available double. Obviously, new customers just have to open an account before the end of next month. Current AT&T customers will need to call customer service, or visit an AT&T Store to participate in the offer.

As long as current AT&T customers with the Mobile Share Value plan follow the above directions, they will get to keep the extra data each month forever, or at least until they switch carriers. And the additional data won't cost subscribers any extra money.

Sounds like a great opportunity for those already signed up with the nation's second largest carrier., or for those seeking a new mobile operator. Remember, the offer doesn't start until tomorrow.

Goes to show you that the throttle at 10 gigs a month 2 years or so ago was just a gimmick to get you to change plans. Now stiff competition got them giving as much as 3x's that with the doubling of the 15G plan.

Still way overpriced...

Why anyone in the world stays on AT&T is mystifying, like people who still pay for AOL.

Coverage, speed, reliability. AFee&Fee sometimes works better than the others.

What are people supposed to use? Tmobile? Nope, unreliable and no coverage. Why do you they are using wifi to supplement coverage? Verizon? to some people, overpriced. Sprint, a bad joke. With the exception of regional carriers, everyone else is a mvno.

Verizon costs more, T-Mobile has crap coverage, except in metropolitan areas, and Sprint is still Sprint. That's why some people stay with them.

Nice plan, but my 10 gig plan doesn't qualify.

AT&T has better service and internet speed compared to Tmobile and sprint. So it's a win win for me!

Agreed, that's why I'm still with them. I've had the big 4, and T-Mobile has been the worst. Sprints plans are attractive, but no simultaneous voice and data is a deal breaker.

Overall ATT is better than the other carriers. Even when you aren't on a 4G signal, you are still running on a crazy fast 3G network.. Indoor penetration is also really good.. The only problem I see with ATT is that is as over priced as Verizon... But than again, if you are willing to put up with dropped calls and bad internet signal at random times, feel free to join T-Mobile for that.. In the end, if ATT works for you and planning to be with them for awhile. This change maybe a great option. But why isn't available on data plans lower than 15gb ?? or did I missed something?

I called about an hour ago, and was told the 6, and 10 gig plans don't qualify. It's a money thing probably.

That sucks.. In fact, as am starting to realize. Other carriers are also offering double/triple the data. So I'm considering moving my 4 lines with Sprint, not so much because their slightly lower prices and much more data you get with them, but because I'm starting to see that they have drastically improved their coverage as well as their 4G LTE coverage, Their 4G now seems to be bigger than ATT's around all the areas where I usually spend the most time. I wasn't expecting that last one, but hey, thats why is good to have options.. Will see. I'm still looking into it..

I have the unlimited data from AT&T and this is the first time I've considered switching. The throttling is becoming unbearable.

That's why I ended up giving in earlier this year. They (AT&T) were starting to throttle me every month it was ridiculous.

My service with AT&T is okay, in major areas I haven't had an issue. I've only had an issue in small rural areas but what phone company doesn't? Verizon was the same way for me(But still more coverage even in rural areas). I just hate AT&T's horrible, awful customer service. Looking at it from a business side they are horrible with business.

I live in LA and have had service with all major carriers, personally I prefer T-mobile since it's more affordable and you get more bang for the buck, but you have to own a 4g LTE phone, the 4g hspa+ network sucks.

Tell me about it.. Thats why I left them.. ATT's advantage is that their 3G is crazy fast But, since Sprint has drastically updated their network,, I think am going to try them again. If things work out, they will be just what I need while been even cheaper than T-Mobile

How is Sprints network now? It's been years since I've had them.

Not only they have improved dramatically in coverage, but they have been using new frequencies now like 800mhz and others for better indoor reception.. and now that they 4G LTE, instead of their WIMAX 4G, their data speeds are freaking amazing.. So as I mention on a previous post, I am seriously thinking of making a move to Sprint with my 4 lines very soon..

I am no sure how people come to the conclusion that AT&T is cheaper than Verizon. I priced their plans and they are identical.
