I've found the same thing that Consumer Reports discovered: a ziplock bag works as well as an expensive ziplock bag. I go in the hot tub all the time with my phone in a sandwich bag.

I hate waterproof cases. They always drip water on the floor and have a tl:dr idiot attached to them complaining I owe them a free phone.

Uh PA I think you got several of the cases mixed up. Might want to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Or you could just buy a decent specced phone that is waterproof out of the box instead of a piece of turd iphone

Some people just prefer iOS ecosystem to Android ecosystem... Plus these cases offer more than just waterproofing - they offer rigidity which no waterproofed phone offers. Also, if you read the fineprint none of the waterproof manufacturers will honor the warranty if your phone waterproof-ness fails for any reason. I think if apple finally adds waterproof feature to their devices it will be with the backing of a Warranty.

My wife's iPhone 5 was sitting in half cup of milk when we found it (thanks to my 2 year old) and still works now for a year. My old 3GS during it's 4.5year in service has been under water twice... and worked for years after. Anyway, my examples are moot, but given that people still choose iphones in Millions - lack of waterproofing isn't really what's on peoples mind - otherwise otter manufacturer would be rolling in billions upon billions.. right?
