15 graphics-intense games to max out the Motorola DROID Turbo

15 graphics-intense games to max out the Motorola DROID Turbo
It takes just one peek at the Motorola DROID Turbo's souped up spec sheet to understand this smartphone is a graphics crusher. Boasting the very best of 32-bit mobile hardware, the highest-clarity smartphone display ever produced, and a totally "gamer" look, this device was built for the mobile games of today and tomorrow.

Since we are so lucky to have the opportunity to distract ourselves with games as a legitimate part of our daily job, we decided to round up 15 titles that showcase some of the best stuff the Moto DROID Turbo is capable of outputting right now.

This is our (feigned) vendetta against the retro pixel art and cute cartoon graphics trends that dominate the mobile gaming scene. Prepare for dense effects, dynamic lighting, illustrious water reflections, detailed textures, and other kinds of console gaming staples turned mobile graphics milestones. Stuff that the Moto DROID Turbo eats for breakfast. But don't worry - if you have a this or last year's flagship phone, you'll be able to get in on the fun too. Just click/tap a game's title to open its Google Play Store page.

Where's Dead Trigger 2? That's a seriously graphics intense game.

They are not s**tt* just not good enough :P If you play those games 20 yrs ago, they would be amazing. However... now it's just okay

I enjoyed 9MM when it released, also completed Samurai II and it was fun but a little repetitive. NOVA 3 was pretty cool specially multiplayer. I haven't tried the others...

9mm did have indeed a nice trailer, and the before last game too. But for all other videos its a shame video games are as bad in 2014 (the quality is lower than what we use to see in PS1 time for example, I don't talk about graphics, and even).

I understand what you mean... and the only quality titles are simply ports... I love that Bioshock is in iOS, it is EPIC... hopefully it makes its way to Android too...

There is different versions depending on your processor / graphics. So asphalt on the s3 will be lower quality due to the worse hardware (no offense)

Why not "15 graphics-intense games to max out the Nvidia Shield tablet" instead ?!

"[..] the highest-clarity smartphone display ever produced" PhoneArena should stop calling the DROID turbo that, it is -not- the highest-clarity smartphone display ever produced. The Galaxy S5 LTE-A has a higher PPI thanks to its 5.1 inch display (the DROID has a 5.2).

Isn't the S5 LTE-A Pentile matrix?

Yep. In practice, the Droid's screen is going to look sharper because it actually has a full RGB matrix...

Technically you're right, and I was going to say the same thing myself, but think about it: The S5 LTE-A uses Pentile matrix, while the Droid Turbo uses full RGB. Therefore, the Droid Turbo is going to look clearer and sharper in real-world usage...

You won't be able to distinguish the difference in real world usage.

Yes, but that's not the point. This discussion is just about technicalities, not real world usage...

no performance gain over any 1080p S801 device and it will probably have shorter sustained performance.

Side note: Can we please get a new NFS game. I've conquered MW and Hot pursuit several times over.

Side note: if you want to play NFS get a console or PC. I you want to play mobile stick with angry birds and temple run :)

Side note: They make NFS for mobile. It's the number one item in the list. I just wanted a new one to play. Instead I got a irrelevant post about consoles. Thanks for your insight, knucklehead.

Lol NFS games for mobile are so boring and simple :P Why would you want to play them instead of the real ones?
